Imagine loosening the ties that bind the underprivileged's ability to change their circumstances, earn a living, and provide for their families. Guess what? You are already accomplishing this. In essence, all you had to do was donate, and ANIDA handled everything else.
Your generous and sustained support enabled us to graduate 35 students from our Women Development Center (WDC) program in Ghana last month. Graduates of this program possess valuable skills as estheticians, which are necessary to be self-employed and earn a sustainable income in the beauty industry. Furthermore, they have mastered practical life skills in literacy, numeracy, information, communication, and technology. As part of their training program, these graduates also received basic training in how to start, manage, and grow a profitable business.
Before joining the WDC program, many of these graduates were unemployed and idle, burdening their dependents and unable to contribute to society. Your kindness has made a significant impact on the lives of these individuals. A number of them intend to launch their businesses, and others plan to work for a while and pursue further education.
Over the past 25 years, ANIDA has worked with you to equip thousands of women and families with the skills they need to become self-sufficient and contribute to their communities.
