STAND BESIDE A CHILD AS THEY LEARN, GROW AND SHAPE THEIR FUTURE

Your ongoing sponsorship helps strengthen a child’s access to education, guidance, and essential support within the family and community around them. Along the way, you receive meaningful updates that help you follow their progress with dignity and care.

A child's story is more than a circumstance.

Explore the children currently waiting for a sponsor. Each profile introduces a child’s interests, strengths, hopes, and learning journey so you can begin with connection—not comparison.

WHAT YOUR SPONSORSHIP HELPS MAKE POSSIBLE

Support that reaches beyond one moment.

Sponsorship helps strengthen the conditions a child needs to keep learning and growing. The form of support may differ by location and individual need, but the purpose remains consistent: help reduce barriers and reinforce the people and systems surrounding the child.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE COMMUNITY

CHILDREN GROW THROUGH RELATIONSHIPS, NOT IN ISOLATION

A child’s progress depends on more than one person or one contribution. Caregivers, teachers, local leaders, and community partners all help create the stability, guidance, and encouragement children need to learn and grow.

That is why ANIDA keeps each child at the centre while strengthening the people and relationships around them. As individuals develop the confidence and capacity to lead within their families, schools, and communities, they help create stronger pathways for learning, well-being, and future opportunity.

FAQ

Hope for Tomorrow is ANIDA’s child-centred sponsorship program. It connects a donor with a participating child’s educational journey while recognizing that children grow within families, schools and communities.

Your monthly sponsorship helps provide an educational and well-being support package appropriate to the child’s country, school and circumstances. When shared barriers affect participating children, sponsorship funding may also contribute to approved school or community initiatives that strengthen the conditions surrounding them.

Choose a child from the profiles currently available for sponsorship. You can then begin an ongoing sponsorship of $35 per month.

After your sponsorship begins, ANIDA will send you welcome information about the child and their community. You will receive periodic updates and opportunities to exchange letters through ANIDA’s monitored communication process.

Your contribution supports the child’s educational journey and may also help strengthen family, school or community conditions affecting participating children.

Sponsorship is $35 per month. You may give monthly, quarterly at $105, semi-annually at $210 or annually at $420. Consistent sponsorship helps ANIDA and its local partners plan, monitor and respond to children’s educational and developmental needs over time.

Children are identified through schools, community relationships and trusted local partners who understand their circumstances.

ANIDA reviews the information provided and considers documented need, program eligibility, equity, safeguarding and available capacity before approving a child for participation.

The profiles on this website introduce each child’s interests, strengths, hopes and learning journey. They are intended to begin a respectful connection, not encourage donors to compare hardship.

Every participating child receives a defined support package appropriate to their country, school and circumstances. Depending on the local context, this may include school fees, uniforms, textbooks, learning materials, meals, transportation, tutoring, psychosocial support, monitoring or another locally appropriate form of assistance. The package is not identical in every country because educational systems, costs and children’s circumstances differ. Sponsorship funding may also be pooled for an approved school or community initiative when a shared condition materially affects participating children. Examples may include clean water, healthy food, caregiver livelihoods, psychosocial support or stronger school capacity. ANIDA reports direct child participation and shared benefits separately so sponsors can understand how the program used its resources.

You can write to your sponsored child through your ANIDA MyAccount. You may also include an appropriate photograph with your message.

ANIDA reviews correspondence to protect the privacy and safety of children, families and sponsors. Messages should not include private addresses, direct contact information or requests for communication outside ANIDA’s monitored process.

Sponsored children have opportunities to respond. ANIDA aims to provide a response within approximately three months. School schedules, local conditions and translation needs may sometimes affect the timing.

Sponsorship helps reduce educational and well-being barriers that may limit a child’s ability to participate, learn and pursue future opportunities. ANIDA does not claim that one contribution independently removes a child or family from poverty. A child’s progress is also shaped by caregivers, teachers, local institutions, community conditions and the child’s own effort and aspirations. Your sponsorship contributes to that wider network of support.

After beginning your sponsorship, you will receive:

  • A welcome email

  • A sponsorship package introducing the child and community

  • Guidance about communicating with your sponsored child

  • Periodic updates about the child’s educational journey and well-being

  • Relevant information from teachers, caregivers or local program partners

  • Opportunities to send and receive letters

Your welcome package should arrive within approximately 30 to 60 days.

Updates will respect the child’s dignity, privacy and safeguarding requirements. They will describe verified participation and progress without making claims the available information cannot support.

A sponsorship may conclude when a child graduates, reaches the agreed educational or developmental endpoint, ages out, no longer meets the program’s eligibility requirements or experiences a significant change in circumstances.

When this happens, ANIDA identifies another child with a high current need for sponsorship. Before making the transition, ANIDA will inform the sponsor, explain why the existing sponsorship is concluding and introduce the child who will receive the continuing support.

This process helps ensure that sponsorship support continues reaching children with significant needs while respecting the relationship between the sponsor and the child completing the program.
