About this policy
This policy explains how All Nations International Development Agency (ANIDA) uses cookies and similar technologies on anida.org. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information, and our Terms of Use.
Our giving and account services are intended for adults or people acting with appropriate authorization. Cookie choices concern website tracking; they do not change your giving instructions, cancel a recurring gift or unsubscribe you from email updates.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files your browser stores when you visit a website. They can keep you signed in, remember items in your giving portfolio or help a service recognize a browser. Session cookies usually expire when a session ends; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
Related technologies include local and session storage, scripts and tracking pixels. These can remember settings, measure page visits or interactions, and support embedded content. They may process browser and device details, IP addresses, identifiers, pages visited and interactions with the website.
Why we use them
- Essential functions and security: WordPress and WooCommerce support accounts, sessions, giving portfolios and checkout. Stripe uses technologies for payment processing and fraud prevention. Security and consent tools also remember choices and help protect the site.
- Website statistics: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and WordPress/Jetpack tools help us understand visits and interactions. Microsoft Clarity supports heatmaps and session recordings of website interactions.
- Marketing and attribution: Where active, these technologies help measure how visitors reach the website or respond to outreach, and can involve identifiers used by third-party services across websites. The inventory below identifies recorded services and purposes.
- Embedded content and forms: Videos, newsletter forms, maps and other external services can process information when they load or you interact with them. A plain link to a social network is different from embedded content; following a link takes you to that provider’s service.
The technologies you encounter depend on the pages and features you use, whether you are signed in, your browser settings and your cookie choices.
Your cookie choices
Use the cookie banner and the settings below to review or change the available statistics and marketing choices. You can return here using Cookie settings in the footer. Essential functions are separate from optional tracking; restricting cookies needed for accounts, security or checkout may prevent those features from working.
The current Canadian banner offers an opt-out from non-essential categories. This policy does not mean that every third-party connection or measurement waits for an opt-in. Your browser may also offer additional privacy controls.
Changing a choice affects future activity according to the relevant control. It does not automatically erase information already collected or cookies already stored. You can clear stored cookies and website data in your browser; doing so may sign you out, clear your giving portfolio or cause the website to ask for your choices again. Choices may need to be set separately on each browser or device.
Cookie and storage inventory
The live inventory below provides recorded service names, purposes and expiration details where available. It includes cookies and other browser storage. Some records may relate to signed-in or administrative features rather than every visitor’s experience.
An entry marked “pending investigation” or with a blank expiration field has not yet been fully classified. It should not be read as confirmation that the technology is essential, anonymous or free from third-party sharing. A session duration ends with the relevant session; “persistent” describes storage that can remain between visits rather than a precise deletion date.
Third-party services
Providers process information for the services they supply, and some may also use information for their own purposes under their privacy terms. Information may be processed outside Canada. The service links in the inventory provide further details.
You can also review the privacy information for Google, Microsoft, Automattic, Stripe and Constant Contact. These links explain each provider’s practices; they do not replace your choices on this website.
Privacy requests and updates
You can ask ANIDA about information we hold about you, request a correction, change communication preferences or request deletion, subject to applicable requirements and records we need to retain. We may need to verify your identity. Available rights depend on the laws that apply to your circumstances; see our Privacy Policy for more information.
We may update this policy as our website or practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision of this text. The cookie inventory can change separately as services and their records are updated.
