You Don’t Have to Change the World Alone

When people think about helping others, they often imagine that making a difference requires extraordinary resources, extraordinary influence, or extraordinary sacrifices.

But that is not how communities are built. Communities are built when ordinary people decide to contribute what they can. For nearly 30 years, ANIDA’s community of supporters has partnered to lift burdens for children, women, families, and communities around the world.

Together, we are helping children access education, providing nutritious food to families facing difficult circumstances. Together, we are supporting healthcare initiatives that help vulnerable newborns survive and thrive and helping build stronger and safer communities.

No single person accomplishes these things alone. It happens because people like you choose to become part of something bigger than themselves.

What Does It Mean to Be Part of the ANIDA Community?

Being part of the ANIDA community is not defined by how much money you give. It is defined by your willingness to help create hope. Some people join by volunteering, sponsoring a child, or making one-time donations.

Many contribute through prayer, advocacy, encouragement, professional skills, and practical support. Every person plays a role. Every contribution matters.

Some of Our Most Valuable Partners Are Volunteers

Many people are surprised to learn that some of ANIDA’s most important programs rely heavily on volunteers. Our Food Bank is volunteer-run. Every week, volunteers help sort food, organize donations, prepare distributions, and serve community members with dignity and care.

We are also grateful for corporate teams who regularly volunteer their time to support the work and help meet the needs of our community. Others volunteer remotely, working alongside our team on projects, administrative tasks, communications, and special initiatives. Some live in Toronto, Canada. Others live hundreds or even thousands of kilometres away. Yet all of them are helping move the mission forward.

Some Join Through Child Sponsorship

For many children, sponsorship is the difference between uncertainty and opportunity. For CAD $35 per month, sponsors become a source of hope for a child, helping remove barriers to education and creating opportunities for a brighter future.

Over the years, thousands of children have experienced transformation because someone chose to invest in their future.The impact often lasts far beyond childhood. Many sponsored children have gone on to support their families, serve their communities, and help others in need.

Some Join Through One-Time Giving

Not everyone is in a position to make a long-term commitment. Many generous people choose to support whenever they are able. They see a need. They respond. And because they do, lives are changed. Their generosity reminds us that meaningful impact is not measured only by consistency but also by willingness.

Some Join Through Monthly Giving

Others choose to participate through monthly giving. Programs starting at just CAD $5 per month allow individuals to become part of a community helping families and communities around the world.

For many people, monthly giving is not about the amount. It is about belonging to a global community they believe in.
